Considered one of the leading contemporary painters from Iran today, was born in
Khomein, Iran. He received his academic training in painting through Zangar.
Esmaeilipour’s paintings are mainly inspired by life around him with natural scenes of
homely environment such as an open window, a backdoor corridor, a floating sheet of a
curtain; With the sun shining into a room, shadows cast into the bedroom with personal
belongings strewn on a cupboard, the romantic touch is in every essence of his poetic
work. According to him, “these are the things that made up everyday life. The things that
spell ‘home’, ‘life’ and ‘love’, for such are the simple beauty of everyday life that
surrounds us. I come from a simple background and it’s the simple things in life that
means the most to a person ultimately.
